Stoyan Petev, CFA, CFP®, CLU, ChFc, brings extensive experience in risk management techniques involving investment and insurance products.
As Senior Vice President of Advanced Markets, he is responsible for leading our in-house life insurance platform and supporting our advisors with his expertise in investment sales and advanced planning.
Before joining Prosperity Capital Advisors and its parent company, C2P, Stoyan spent nearly three decades as an advisor and distributor and developed expertise in products as a research and investment analyst, due diligence officer, and consultant. He has worked with countless clients and financial planning professionals on building and executing the various aspects of a holistic financial planning process to meet their needs. As a product expert, Stoyan has consulted on and developed multiple life insurance and annuity products and features for insurance companies.
As a distributor, Stoyan has built and cultivated relationships with advisors, product sponsors, and servicers. He has developed the operational expertise for successful and timely product placement, faster turnaround, and revenue recognition.
Throughout his career, he has trained advisors, their staff, and team members on life insurance, annuity, long-term care, disability, and various investment products. His knowledge of risk mitigation solutions and understanding of complex estate and business planning techniques make him a valuable addition to our team.
Stoyan holds an undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. Stoyan is insurance licensed in multiple states and holds Series 7, 24, 53, 63 and 65 licenses. In addition to his formal education, he is a member of multiple organizations that promote lifelong learning in the financial services industry. Stoyan is passionate about improving financial literacy among immigrant communities to ensure everyone has equal access to quality financial advice. As such, he has served as an adjunct instructor at Lindenwood University teaching economics, finance, and accounting, as well as statistics.
When not assisting advisors with their life insurance strategies and high-net-worth client needs, Stoyan likes spending time with his family, fishing, reading, and playing chess. He resides in St. Louis, MO with his wife, Antonia, and their two sons.
