Meet Carol Schmidlin
Carol Schmidlin serves clients at Prosperity Capital Advisors with more than three decades of experience helping families navigate every phase of wealth management. She is known for guiding federal employees and retirees through benefit options specific to their careers.
Her process incorporates advanced planning designed to help reduce taxes, support cash flow, coordinate federal benefits, protect assets, transfer wealth, and facilitate charitable giving for clients.
Education and Experience
Carol has practiced financial planning since 1993 and founded Franklin Planning, now part of Prosperity Capital Advisors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Rowan University and maintains Series 65, 7, and 63 licenses along with life and health insurance licensing.
As a Certified Financial Fiduciary® (CF2) and charter member of the National Association of Certified Financial Fiduciaries (NACFF), Carol adheres to the CFF Code of Conduct and the guidelines of the NACFF. As a fiduciary, she is required to provide advice that is in the client’s best interest, practicing the duties of loyalty, good faith, and good care while educating clients first through our holistic financial planning process. Carol also holds the Master Registered Financial Consultant designation (MRFC®) from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, which requires biennial examinations in taxes and financial planning as well as extensive tax planning training.

Get to Know Carol
A resident of the New Jersey shore area, Carol and her husband, Brett, have three children and one grandson. They enjoy spending time together as a family at their condo in Ocean City, NJ.
