Wayne Barker, ChFC®, came to Prosperity Capital Advisors with 20 years of experience in operations and investments with three major regional banks.

Prior to joining Prosperity, Wayne held the position of assistant vice president and investment officer with Huntington Wealth Advisors, where he was a portfolio manager for high-net-worth clients. Wayne was also an investment analyst for Huntington’s research team and served as a member of the Fiduciary Funds Committee. Before Huntington’s acquisition, Wayne was the securities trading manager for Sky Trust, where he was responsible for all aspects of equity and fixed income trading.

As Vice President – Investment Platform, Wayne oversees advisor services, new account processing, trading, and billing. He assists the business development partners in new advisor onboarding and helps facilitate the process of acclimating new Prosperity advisors to the organization. He also maintains the technological functions and relationships necessary to support Prosperity and is a member of the Investment Committee.

Education and Personal Life

Wayne graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a BA in business administration. He has obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation through The American College. He previously held Ohio insurance licenses in Accident & Health, Life, and Variable Annuities.

Wayne resides in Cleveland, Ohio, with his wife, Jennifer, their two daughters, and three pets. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys exploring all things tech, watching movies, and actively volunteering with his daughters’ Girl Scout troop.

To receive the ChFC® designation, an individual must successfully complete all courses and exams, meet experience requirements and ethics standards, and agree to comply with The American College Code of Ethics and Procedures.
